CANNABINOIDS
Cannabinoids are substances, that are exclusively found in the hemp plant - Cannabis Sativa resp. Cannabis Indica. At present about 80 different cannabinoids are known, although at the current level of knowledge primarily the ∆9-THC (Delta 9 - Tetrahydrocannabinol; international non-proprietary name: dronabinol) and – less important – the non-psychoactive CBD (Cannabidiol) are used for medical purposes. Dronabinol (THC) and hemp flowers (Cannabis flow) are available for sale and prescription in Germany as of March 2017 according to the Narcotics Act (BtmG).
One of the safest medications.
A lethal dose in humans is unknown, therefore cannabis and cannabinoids are considered to be among the safest remedies available. Nevertheless cannabis and cannabinoids cannot be considered as harmless as – depending on dosage – they may be inebriant resp. possibly addictive. The possible addictive effect must be taken into account and a risk-benefit analysis is reasonable (similar to other medications).
Legal situation in your area.
At a certain dosage, dronabinol (THC) and cannabis can have a psychotropic (mind-altering) effect. There is thus a potential for abuse, which governments in nearly all countries of the world counteract with corresponding laws. Use only dronabinol (THC) or medicinal hemp flowers (cannabis flos) prescribed by your physician and purchased from a pharmacy. Otherwise you may be at risk of breaking the law.
